JESSICA BOURLAND – EDITOR IN CHIEF, FOUNDER BOULDER, CO – USA

After nearly a decade in retail management, I grew watchful of the conspicuous consumption and consumerism, which fueled my passion and advocacy for sustainable style. I received a BA in Fashion Merchandising from Academy of Art University, and work to raise awareness for the Slow Fashion Movement through Slow Fashioned and freelance fashion writer. When I’m not writing and learning, I spend my time sewing, practicing yoga and Ayurveda, volunteering at a local farm, and embracing a slow lifestyle with my family in Boulder, Colorado. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have!
KELLI CALDWELL – LEAD EDITOR PHILADELPHIA, PA – USA
Kelli Caldwell, vintage boutique owner and Social fashion crusader. I’ve been in fashion for 10+ years, from retail sales associate to marketing associate at various companies. Throughout my corporate career I’ve experienced “the good, the bad and the ugly” facets of fashion, thus compelling me not only to start my own business, but partake in a bigger mission to save the future of fashion from disposable depravity (i.e. Fast Fashion) and environmental detriment. You can visit my vintage boutique, Fallen Robots on etsy and blog by the same name here.
KELLY-ANN BARATHRABEN – CONTRIBUTING AUTHOR MILTON KEYNES, BUCKS – UK

I believe that fast fashion is a bit like fast food: unsatisfying, uninspiring, unhealthy and potentially addictive. I love writing short stories and articles and getting published as often as I can. I have many pseudonyms but Kelly-Ann Barathraben is my real name. I’m also a collage artist. My favourite place to be on this earth is Luzhkov Park in Moscow. I never throw magazines away. A good quality magazine is no different to a book in my eyes. Customizing t-shirts could easily be my day job. But it’s not. Charity shopping is my bread and butter. I read lots of fashion/style blogs. You can read mine here: Tea For Two. Email me for philosophical discussions or shooting the green breeze.
LAURA BRAY – CONTRIBUTING AUTHOR ULLADULLA, NSW – AUS
Laura Bray is 19 years old and currently lives in Ulladulla. She started her own fashion blog, Wrinkle In Time Vintage, in February 2011 and her combined interest in fashion, writing and photography has made her blog, Wrinkle In Time Vintage, popular both at home and internationally. She is currently studying fashion business and hopes to one day work as a Fashion Editor for an Australian magazine.
ALEXIS REALE – CONTRIBUTING AUTHOR PORTLAND, OR – USA
I came to Slow Fashioned because I was looking for a way to merge my love for fashion with my new healthy and green lifestyle. The slow fashioned values fit these needs perfectly; something I never thought possible. I recently moved to Portland Oregon from NH, and everyday I am taken back by Portland’s amazing sense of style. In addition to writing and research about fashion, I read numerous fashion blogs including my own Blog and it is my dream to becoming a fashion stylist. When I’m not obsessing over fashion or shopping for vintage, you can find me reading, biking or practicing yoga.

SCOTT SUNDERLAND – CONTRIBUTING AUTHOR & PHOTOGRAPHER WASHINGTON, DC – USA
I pay the bills as a Network Engineer, but my passion is photography and animals. I do my best to live a green lifestyle. I walk to work, bike when I can, and enjoy a compassion based vegetarian diet\lifestyle. When not working to pay the bills, I spend as much time as I can in nature and around the city with my camera. I also volunteer at an animal shelter in Washington DC as a “dog walker”. I hope to get certified as a dog trainer someday as well. I started my interest in photography when I got my first 35mm camera when I was 19 in the United States Air Force. I have been shooting and learning ever since. When I leave the house, my camera is usually with me, along with my dog Sally. I am by no means a pro at photography, but love to challenge myself and work at getting better every shoot. Some of my work can be seen on my Flickr page. I love to share my work, and love to get honest feedback. Please visit my page and feel free to leave a comment. Enjoy.
JESSICA TAFT LANGDON – CONTRIBUTING AUTHOR & PHOTOGRAPHER LOS ANGELES, CA – USA
Jessica Taft Langdon is a professional footwear designer, a photographer of street style & trend, and a blogger. Her foray into “slow fashion” began unwittingly in high school. She had a very serious aversion to wearing any clothing from “fast fashion” or “high street” brands, and (much to her mother’s chagrin) preferred to wear a combination of girly/grandma thrifted clothes and European vintage army/navy uniforms. Having grown up a bit since then (both in years and in style), she now has a deep respect for the craft and creativity that is the heritage of the great European fashion houses, and is concerned that the fashion industry is losing its commitment to these ideals. She believes that a creative business can also be a sustainable business- financially and socially. Having spent the bulk of her professional career as a designer, she relishes the opportunity to rediscover her love of writing that her own blog, twitter and slowfashioned.com have given her.
ANNCHING WANG – CONTRIBUTING AUTHOR VANCOUVER, BC – CAN
A writer and fashion designer, I am a born and bred Westcoast girl who loves fresh air, good design, and learning, whether it’s about art, science, or theories for a better fashion world. By day I work as a freelance copywriter for independent fashion businesses. By night, I’m designing and developing a fashion line inspired by the idea of injecting timeless fashion with contemporary grace and conscious meaning. I write a blog, Bespoken, which documents my experiences as a creative entrepreneur working towards my dreams in fashion. I’d also love to connect with you on Twitter.
